摘要: The novel class of 1D hydrodynamical evolutionary sequences for gas flows in elliptical galaxies presented employs model whose virialized density distributions are constrained to lie on their fundamental plane. models evolve through as many three consecutive (wind, outflow, inflow) stages. These indicate that the X-ray-faint still wind phase, while bulk ellipticals outflow and a few brightest may already have undergone transition inflow regime. effects interactions with intracluster medium, ram pressure, encounters, merging events qualitatively discussed. 114 refs.
