摘要: Organizations can encourage their members to over-value means above ends. A case in point is the tendency among academics standardized ranking lists for academic journals at expense of high quality research. To make sense such seemingly perverse object choices, organizational researchers have turned concept fetishism. However, yet consider how these fetishes are organized as sexual choicesa strange omission given expansive empirical and theoretical literature exploring fetishism a practice. Drawing distinction between organizations organizations, article seeks redress this oversight.
