摘要: During 1963 Apanteles flavipes (Cameron), a small hymenopterous larval parasite of numerous pyralid and noctuid stem borers sugarcane in the Indo-Australian area, was tested against borer, Diatraea saccharalis (F.), at Canal Point, Florida. Before release life history such factors as mating, oviposition, fecundity, adult longevity, sex ratio, hosts, compatibility with Agathis stigmatera (Cresson), another were ascertained. A rearing procedure also developed. More than 40,000 adults A. reared on borer laboratory about 28,000 these released commercial fields Everglades. few held recovered made 4 months after release, but none 1964.
