摘要: Abdominopelvic radiation therapy plays an important role in the curative and palliative treatment for a large proportion of tumors arising from abdominopelvic cavity; e.g., gynecological, genitourinary, gastrointestinal systems. The maximally tolerated doses many targets cavity are limited by tolerance stomach, small intestines. Radiotherapy can be delivered before, after or during chemotherapy before surgery, integration these multiple modalities impact normal tissue reactions. Most approaches involve use fractionated external beam radiotherapy, often with inclusion brachytherapy gynecologic malignancies. Curative regimens typically utilize total range 45–50 Gy at 1.8–2.0 per fraction. The risks injury increase >50 fraction sizes >≈2 Gy.
