摘要: Fibromyalgia (FMS) is a chronic disorder characterized by widespread musculoskeletal pain often accompanied fatigue, headaches, sleep disturbance, and mood problems. Understanding the epidemiology of this important in treating patient population. There are limited data on incidence rates, age-adjusted rates estimated around seven cases per 1000 person-years for males over 11 females. more common females, female-to-male ratio 7–9:1, most patients diagnosed sometime middle life, though suggest 1–6 % juveniles. greater among first-degree relatives, suggesting genetic predisposition disease. newer 2010 clinical case definition FMS, classifies fairly consistently compared older 1990 American College Rheumatology (ACR) criteria, without physical or tender point examination, thought especially useful longitudinal evaluation marked symptom variability.
