摘要: Objective Several articles, most of them written by nondermatologists, have stressedthat bald men a higher risk for coronary artery disease than whoare not bald. This study was performed to evaluate the validity such conclusionsfrom dermatologic point view. Design A review 24 articles in literature from 1954 1999 as providedby MEDLINE and previous review. Results Five contained simple comments; 1 previousliterature; 3 dealt only with lipid profile. The remaining 15 articlesdealt baldness, 9 these concludedthat there is relationship between 2 conditions, especially youngersubjects severe early-onset androgenetic alopecia. Conclusions Baldness did coincide alopecia some thearticles examined, which makes it difficult settle issue.
