摘要: PURPOSE OF REVIEW: In patients with symptoms of stress urinary incontinence, there is still a debate regarding the benefit multichannel urodynamic investigation prior to surgical management. The purpose this article review recent evidence on topic. RECENT FINDINGS: Results two large randomized controlled trials provided that preoperative urodynamics do not improve outcome incontinence surgery in women uncomplicated incontinence. Furthermore, selected group women, hardly lead deviation as primary treatment case an indication for operation based and signs. Low urethral closure pressures detrusor overactivity are parameters which were associated impaired cure after surgery. SUMMARY: Preoperative complaints alter plan. It remains questionable whether more accurate counselling postoperative perspectives counterbalances disadvantages attended urodynamics. routine use should no longer be advised. evaluation only used answer specific clinical question or if results likely influence choice treatment.
