摘要: Abstract Currently, the species Bifidobacterium animalis consists of two subspecies, B. animalis subsp. lactis and . Among these is especially important because it widely used in manufacture probiotic dairy products. The application microbes food industry demands fast, accurate low cost methods to differentiate between strains. Although various genotypic have been employed discriminate they are not easily adapted for rapid identification industry. purpose this study was evaluate use matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization-time flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF MS) subspecies , discrimination at strain level. We identified twenty-three strains level by proteomics using MALDI-TOF MS. nearly identical that obtained comparison tuf atpD gene sequences, single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs), insertions, deletions (INDELs). four protein markers, L1, L2, A1, A2, which useful discriminating both subspecies. Proteomics MS therefore an method identifying bacteria. Given speed achieved (∼20 min including sample preparation), promising as a tool starter cultures probiotics.
