摘要: Natural Killer (NK) cells are innate lymphocytes with an important role in the early defense against intracellular pathogens and tumors. Like other immune cells, almost every aspects of their biology regulated by cytokines. Interleukin (IL)-15 is pivotal for development, homeostasis, activation. Moreover, numerous activating or inhibitory cytokines such as IL-2, IL-4, IL-7, IL-10, IL-12, IL-18, IL-21, Transforming growth factor-β (TGFβ) type I interferons regulate activation effector functions at different stages response. In this review we summarize current understanding on effect these NK cell during steady-state upon infection pathogens. We try to delineate cellular sources cytokines, pathways they trigger transcription factors regulate. describe known synergies antagonisms between highlight outstanding questions field investigation. Finally, discuss how a better knowledge cytokine action could help improve strategies manipulate clinical situations.
