摘要: A major hindrance in industry modernization is the interoperability issues between existing legacy and new systems. Legacy systems normally have security vulnerabilities are cost prohibitive to upgrade/replace. Thus, a feasible solution needed equip with secure emerging technologies. This paper presents low-cost ARM processor based Inter-Technology Bridging Gateway (ITBG). Its modular design makes it easily customizable for any industrial application. As use case, this design, implementation, compliance testing validation of ITBG synchrophasor technology smart grid. It bridges technological gap phasor devices by supporting two-way protocol translation IEEE C37.118.2 IEC 61850-90-5 standards. Further, ensures system using recommended GDOI mechanism. Experiments laboratory physical testbed successfully validated different time-critical applications.
