摘要: The best possible self (BPS), defined as a future-oriented Positive Psychology Intervention (PPI), has shown to be effective increase wellbeing levels in previous studies. However, it is unknown if the future frame an essential constituent for efficacy of this exercise. This work was aimed at exploring role temporal focus BPS intervention. Two randomized controlled trials (RCTs) were carried out, which participants (N = 112 and N = 107) writing about their past, present or self, activities out during last 24 h (control condition). main outcome measure positive affect, other measures related also included (satisfaction with life, happiness, optimism, self-efficacy self-satisfaction). It hypothesized that all three experimental conditions would equally they produce larger benefits than control condition. Results both RCTs showed significantly increased levels, could imply varying temporality does not affect no statistically significant differences found between conditions. Implications these results will discussed. study contributes research on mechanisms influence effectiveness widely used PPI.
