摘要: Abstract In the present contribution, synthesis and characterization of manganese(II) complexes with quinolone antimicrobial agent flumequine (Hflmq) in absence or presence N,N′-donor heterocyclic ligands 1,10-phenanthroline (phen) 2,2′-bipyridylamine (bipyam) are reported. The structure complex [Mn(flmq)2(phen)]·2MeOH was also determined by X-ray crystallography. novel complexes, bound to a bidentate manner through carboxylato oxygen pyridone oxygen. affinity human bovine serum albumin proteins investigated fluorescence emission spectroscopy corresponding binding constants exhibit relatively high values. calf-thymus (CT) DNA studied UV–Vis DNA-viscosity measurements. DNA-binding were calculated. Intercalation is most possible mode, this verified ability displace ethidium bromide (EB) from EB–DNA conjugate. activity tested against four different microorganisms (Escherichia coli, Xanthomonas campestris, Staphylococcus aureus Bacillus subtilis) found similar higher than free Hflmq.
