摘要: S In search for naturally health foods, we selected a study of an antioxidants from spices food, Indonesian rhizome curcuma longa. Rhizome longa pulverized and extracted with n-hexane, the crude extract was studied in chemical screening by using thin layer chromatography (TLC) silica-gel, showed eight compounds as shown spots ranging yellow to dark brown. The antioxidative activity evaluated 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazil (DPPH) method, activity, observed potent decreasing DPPH absorbance at 515nm. active synergistic effect since more stronger than its purified one.
