摘要: Background. Syndromes are defined by traditional Chinese medicine as consisting of different pattern elements. Few scales have been designed for differentiating elements dementia and shown major flaws. Thus, a new element scale (PES) was developed. This study aimed to evaluate the utility PES in patients. Methods. A total 171 patients were enrolled, their ascertained, first clinicians using PES, then compared with results two experts be used standard criterion independently. Reliability subscales assessed receiver operator characteristic curves. Correlations between cognition calculated canonical correlation analysis. Results. The consisted 11 subscales. area under curves all 0.7 or above. Phlegm muddiness, blood stasis, yang hyperactivity showed optimal sensitivity specificity discriminating Other relatively lower but higher specificity. Memory language significantly correlated qi deficiency stasis element. Conclusion. can accurately easily discriminate is helpful tool medical subtyping dementia.
