摘要: Careaga MBL, Girardi CEN, Suchecki D. Understanding posttraumatic stress disorder through fear conditioning, extinction and reconsolidation. NEUROSCI BIOBEHAV REV -Posttraumatic (PTSD) is a psychopathology characterized by exacerbation of response. A dysregulated response may be explained dysfunctional learning memory, hypothesis that was proposed decades ago. key component PTSD conditioning the study this phenomenon in laboratory has expanded understanding underlying neurobiological changes PTSD. Furthermore, traumatic memories are strongly present even years after trauma maintenance memory usually related to behavioral physiological maladaptive responses. Persistence dysregulation two processes: The former explain over-expression responses as an imbalance between memory. latter, turn, explains result enhancing trauma-related memories. Thus, review will discuss importance for establishment how failure or abnormal reconsolidation contribute overtime.
