摘要: This is the first study to assess sport concussion knowledge and effect of self-report on in UK general public. In online survey, participants (n = 227) stated personal history, injury indicators, rated 26 statements for truthfulness using definite (true, false) or non-definite (probably true, probably response options. As anticipated, was limited. Few statement ratings were definite, misconceptions prevailed. The injury's seriousness systematically underestimated, suggesting that may not be sufficient self-diagnosis self-recovery measures. Sport associated with more than ratings. However, accuracy did differ. suggested experience yield a false sense security. use accessible, easy-to-use tools needs promoted improve practice safety.
