摘要: AbstractThe pulmonary effects and fibrogenic potential of intratracheally instilled silicon compounds were evaluated at 3, 7, 74, 28 days post instillation. Evaluations consisted examination lavaged cell populations, as well biochemical histologic techniques. Alpha-quartz (SiO2), a known material, caused significant toxicity, manifested by edema, acute chronic inflammation, granuloma formation, fibrosis.
