摘要: Chemokines are small chemoattractant cytokines which regulate the process of cellular trafficking. Due to their key role in determinant biological functions associated with tumor development, they ideal targets for investigating progression, prognosis, therapy, and susceptibility. In this chapter, mechanism through chemokines control different stages oncogenesis is described. At first, a detailed description on these molecules cell proliferation, survival, metastases implantation provided. Then modulation specific innate immune responses against tumor, along impact discussed. Finally, we extensively reported various studies chemokine gene polymorphisms clinical prognosis commented use chemokine-derived as anticancer therapeutic tools.
