摘要: Glutamic acid decarboxylase (GAD) catalyzes the synthesis of γ-aminobutyric (GABA), which is known as a major inhibitory neurotransmitter in central nervous system (CNS), but also present outside CNS. Recent studies showed that GAD target autoantibodies associated with development insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus and rare stiff man syndrome. Studies expression have demonstrated multiple transcripts, suggesting several isoforms GAD. In this study, three different genes were mapped by situ hybridization to both human mouse chromosomes. The GAD1 gene was chromosome 2q31 2D region conservation between mouse. GAD2, previously 10p11.2-p12, 2A2-B, identifies new A potential GAD3 transcript 22q13 15E It concluded may form family many related members.
