摘要: Palm oil industry generates vast amount of palm biomass. Converting biomass into a uniform and solid fuel through briquetting process appears to be an attractive solution in upgrading its properties add value. In this study, raw materials including empty fruit bunch (EFB), powder fibre forms, kernel expeller (PKE) sawdust were densified briquettes at high temperature pressure using screw extrusion technology. The analysed determine physical chemical properties, mechanical strength burning characteristics. It was found that made either from 100% pulverized EFB or mixed with exhibited good properties. PKE, due their recommended blended producing quality briquettes. overall, converting has increased energy content reduced moisture about minimum 5% 38% respectively compared materials. obtained the study commercial requirements DIN 51731. details highlighted paper. can become important renewable source future.
