摘要: Plants are sprayed and dusted with chemicals for numerous reasons. Some of the applied to plants exert their influence simply by remaining on foliage surface; others must be absorbed perhaps translocated before activity is realized. Many compounds used have a mammalian toxicity less than that table salt, whereas exceed strychnine in toxicity. Likewise, many relatively non-phytotoxic but kill readily. Possible foliar residues which may left various pesticides course influenced both absorption characteristics metabolic breakdown. The plant environmental, chemical factors affect examined this review. A variety considered, as well certain growth regulators other substances not, strictly speaking, “pesticides.” limited consideration also given recent findings relating penetration inorganic ions, where mechanisms involved bear similarities some organic ionize or hydrolyze during penetration. Because broad coverage, space precludes detailed discussions all aspects associated structural relationships. These subjects developed quite fully reviews listed below introductions specific sections report. Also, only movement within leaf mesophyll veins considered. Long distance transport vascular system stems roots not included, since several excellent monographs subject recently been published preparation.
