摘要: In the broadest sense, lineation is a descriptive, nongenetic term, for any kind of linear structure, on or within rock (Cloos, 1946, p. 1). Our concern here, however, primary sedimentary rocks acquired during depositional process imposed sediment while it was still in environment deposition. Lineations are several types and include preferred arrangement elongate skeletal elements, plant fragments, nonspherical clasts kind. Such preferential framework elements deposit usually called “fabric” Lineation includes also various features which found at interface between beds such as slide marks, produced by movement one bed over another — reality species slickensides, various- groovings striations mudstones, preserved only casts sole overlying sandstone bed. Various other asymmetric markings impart to bedding surface. Included here those surfaces underlie till tillite. These glacial sense tectonic i.e. they an overthrust (of ice) but, inasmuch have been systematically mapped reconstruct pattern ice-movement, indeed paleocurrent structure. Also included internal structures observed when certain sandstones split parted along planes. parting very common feature some sand facies.
