摘要: Adnexal masses are found in 6% of women reproductive age. Ultrasonography can clearly identify the characteristics ovarian cysts. Simple cysts age have commonly been treated with oral contraceptives. However expectant management also be effective. The present study evaluates results simple and compares these those contraceptive treatment. This randomized controlled trial a 24-months duration enrolled 141 premenopausal younger than 50 years who had low serum cancer antigen (CA)-125 levels (< 65 U/mL) an cyst detected by transvaginal Doppler ultrasonography within first 5 days their menstrual cycle. were assigned to (n = 74 group 1) or receive daily hormonal treatment 67 2). consisted 20 µg ethinyl estradiol 150 desogestrel (Myralon; Organon Ilac AS Istanbul Turkey).
