摘要: We have applied a recently developed statistical mechanical theory for the interfacial properties of strongly anisotropic fluids to liquid-vapour interface model nematic at triple point temperature T tr, i.e. nematic-isotropic transition under conditions saturated vapour pressure. investigated structure region, and in particular we studied dependence orientational order parameter profiles on details intermolecular potential characterizing system. find that both parallel perpendicular orientations molecules free surface can be obtained, depending sign one parameters specify interactions, qualitative agreement with experimental results. The tension nematic-vapour is found exhibit type reentrant wetting behaviour tr which has so far not been seen experimentally.
