摘要: The rapid development of micro/nanoengineered functional biomaterials in the last two decades has empowered materials scientists and bioengineers to precisely control different aspects vitro cell microenvironment. Following a philosophy reductionism, many studies using synthetic have revealed instructive roles individual extracellular biophysical biochemical cues regulating cellular behaviors. Development integrated study complex emergent biological phenomena also thrived rapidly recent years, revealing adaptive behaviors closely relevant human physiological pathological conditions. Working at interface between science engineering, biology, medicine, we are now beginning great exploration for both fundamental biology clinical biomedical applications such as regenerative medicine drug screening. In this review, an overview state art that can cell-microenvironment interactions is presented they highlighted them well-controlled platforms mechanistic mechano-sensitive -responsive integrative research. exciting trend where into miniaturized biomimetic systems dynamic multiparametric microenvironmental discussed. impact future well disease models
