摘要: Abstract Clinacanthus nutans Lindau ( C . nutans, “snake grass”) is a well-known medicinal plant in South-East Asia that recently has attracted attention for its high polyphenol content and medical nutraceutical applications. In this work, polyphenols have been recovered from C. by microwave-assisted extraction (MAE). The influence of the main process parameters analyzed: ethanol concentration solvent mixture, microwave energy applied solvent-to-feed ratio. Model results correlated with mathematical models process, allow linking observed variations curves modifications mass transfer equilibrium parameters. Moreover, order to assess efficiency were studied explained view specific absorbed during treatment (J/g). Results indicate pre-treatment improves rate factor 2–5, yielding best when water–ethanol mixture 50%vol used at ratio S / F ) 14 mL/g.
