摘要: Objective To report audiovestibular outcomes following endolymphatic shunt surgery (ELS) and intratympanic gentamicin injections (ITG) in patients with Meniere's disease (MD). Study design Retrospective matched cohort study METHODS: Patients MD refractory to medical management between 2004 2017 were reviewed: 44 underwent ELS had available, while 27 ITG available. Mean follow-up durations for the groups 39.1 43.3 months, respectively. Twenty-six from group 24 then included a pretreatment hearing- age-matched analysis. Main outcome measures successful control of vertigo, pure-tone average (PTA; 0.5, 1, 2 4 kHz), word recognition score (WRS), treatment complications. Results A analysis showed vertigo rates 73.1% 66.8% group, which not significantly different (P = .760). The change PTA was statistically similar (6.2 dB) (4.6 .521), WRS (+3.9 %) more favorable than (-13.6 .046). Chronic post-treatment unsteadiness reported 25.0% encountered .009). Conclusion provided at least as well lower incidence Level evidence Laryngoscope, 130:2455-2460, 2020.
