摘要: Obesity is defined as an exesive accumulation of adipose tissue in the body. Frequently main cause obesity dogs execive ingest or inadequate metabolism, that causes positive energy balance. Besides high number associated diseases can cause, longevity obese animals two years shorter than normal weight animals. For these reasons correct determination, valoration and treatment great importance nowadays routine practice. In this review we will deal with several methods for grade measurement be divided into groups: physical biochemical. include body weight, morphometric methods, tape measurements, dual X-ray absorptiometry (DXA), deuterium isotope dilution (D2O). Regarding biochemical focus on proteins: leptin adiponectin future could used biomarkers canine species.
