摘要: Multiwalled carbon nanotube network (MWCNT-N)/poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) composite is prepared by solution radical polymerization. The entangled multiwall (MWCNT-N) obtained vacuum filtration and functionalized allyl isocyanate to form polymerizable vinyl groups on a surface. polymerization binds PMMA covalently these yields MWCNT-N/PMMA manifesting electrical conduction selective chemical vapor sensing. latter property evaluated in terms of affinity organic solvent polarities. It found that the acetone polarity with improves significantly sensitivity this while methanol same iso-pentane even decreased comparison corresponding MWCNT-N. response favorable for possible use as sensing element and/or switch. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
