摘要: By means of magnetoencephalography (MEG), we investigated event-related synchronization and desynchronization (ERS/ERD) in auditory cortex activity, recorded from twelve children aged four to six years, while they passively listened a violin tone noise-burst stimulus. Time-frequency analysis using Wavelet Transform was applied single-trials source waveforms observed left right cortices. Stimulus-induced changes non-phase-locked activities were evident. ERS the beta range (13-30 Hz) lasted only for 100 ms after stimulus onset. This followed by prominent alpha ERD, which showed clear dissociation between upper (12 lower (8 both cortices stimuli. The time courses ERD (onset around 300 ms, peak at 500 offset 1500 ms) similar those previously found older adults with memory related tasks. For only, longer than band. findings suggest that induced indexes processing without specific cognitive task requirement. larger longer-lasting did cortex, likely reflecting hemispheric differences maturational stages neural oscillatory mechanisms.
