摘要: OBJECTIVES To determine the clinical characteristics of rheumatoid arthritis in Saudi Arabia relation to human leukocyte antigen type. METHODS A group 91 patients, 72 females and 19 males were studied for various clinical, laboratory radiological parameters along with antigen-DR phenotypes. Since antigen-DR10 was most commonly associated our population, we compared those patients without. RESULTS The comparison yielded differences presence nodules, erosions, corticosteroid treatment, joint involvement at presentation, hemoglobin levels, white cell count. Only last 3 showed a statistical significance. CONCLUSIONS Human type influenced course disease but only limited extent.
