摘要: Aims and background. Transcriptional silencing induced by hypermethylation of CpG islands in the promoter regions genes is believed to be an important mechanism carcinogenesis human cancers including gastric cancer. A number reports on methylation various cancer have been published, but most these studies focused tissues or only a single gene. In this study, we determined status mRNA expression 4 genes: p16, Runx3, DAPK CHFR. Methods. Methylation-specific polymerase chain reaction (MSP) was used determine CHFR gene promoters adjacent normal mucosa specimens from 70 patients with cancer, as well biopsy samples 30 people without serving controls. addition, investigated 34 RT-PCR. Bisulfite DNA sequence analysis applied check positive detected MSP Results. When carcinoma were compared samples, significant increase observed, while all histologically free for genes. The rate increased stomach tissue tumor-adjacent tissue. Concurrent 2 more found 22.9% 75.7% tissues. No correlation between other clinicopathological parameters such sex, age, tumor location. However, frequency significantly associated extent differentiation lymph node metastasis (P <0.05) Runx3 size <0.05). Weak loss observed (P<0.05). Conclusions. Promoter frequent may help evaluating grade due cancer-specific event. Free full text available at www.tumorionline.it.
