摘要: Abstract Three human breast cancer cell lines from pleural effusions (MDA-MB-435, MDA-MB-231, MDA-MB-468) and one a brain metastasis (MDA-MB-361) were tested for growth potential in vitro (minimum serum requirements, semisolid agarose), tumorigenicity nude mice following injection into the mammary fatpad (m.f.p.) intravenously (i.v.), formation of experimental carotid artery (i.a.). Colony-forming efficiency cells dense agarose corresponded with metastatic m.f.p. tumors. The results consistently ranked 4 as follows: MDA-MB-435 greater than MDA-MB-231 MDA-MB-468 MDA-MB-361, most to least aggressive. exception was tumor after i.a. cells, where MDA-MB-361 second highest take, but slowest rate. These indicate that this series carcinomas, have lower malignant visceral metastases.
