摘要: Abstract The challenge of nose landing gear shimmy vibrations is largely addressed through adding passive suppression devices to the gear, known as dampers. Despite wide treatment modeling in literature using various approaches, little about dampers' performance and their influence on dynamics. This article presents a multi degree freedom model including two-piece strut, with generic damper added between strut parts it case actual system. Using linear stability analysis nonlinear time domain simulations, we identify required equivalent stiffness damping be supplied by order ensure dynamic Furthermore, parametric study three dampers presented which effect design parameters are highlighted compared. Integrating learnings from both study, strategies for arriving at an optimized offered.
