摘要: The iron-rich alloys of iron and nickel resemble pure in that they undergo a phase change from body-centred cubic ( α ) structure to face-centred γ on heating. On cooling the alloys, however, return original state takes place at much lower temperature, account this thermal hysteresis are known as irreversible. A magnetic investigation these has been made by Peschard (1925), who measured variation saturation intensity with temperature. lattice is accompanied decrease alloy, since non-magnetic temperature change. Curves showing very useful study give visual evidence irreversibility. relation irreversible changes equilibrium diagram not clearly understood. Recently, diagrams iron-nickel system, determined means X-ray data, have published Bradley Goldschmidt (1939) Owen Sully (1939).
