摘要: In the inaugural issue of Health Communication, Jon Nussbaum (Health Communication 1:35–40, 1989) commented that evidence strongly suggests, “health communication as a legitimate field inquiry has finally arrived.” same issue, Gary Kreps 1:11–15, asked, “What difference can health make to public?” (p. 35). Since then, scholars have been contributing answer from variety perspectives. Leading scholar and editor Teri Thompson states deals with care related environments give meaning status by assuming defining its cause (Thompson, Explaining illness: Research, theory, strategies 3–40, 2000).
