摘要: BACKGROUND Heart rate is an accurate and easy to use method represent the energy expenditure during walking, based on physiological cost index (PCI). However, in some conditions heart walking does not reach a steady state. Therefore, it possible determine by of PCI index. The total beat (THBI) new solve aforementioned problem. OBJECTIVE aim this research project was find sensitivity both (PCI) (THBI). METHOD Fifteen normal subjects ten patients with flatfoot disorder two spinal cord injury were recruited project. THBI indexes determined beats respect speed distance walked, respectively. RESULTS more than that three groups subjects. CONCLUSION Although are reliable parameters their high detect influence orthotic interventions, such as insoles or using shoes walking.
