摘要: The behaviour of proinsulin and insulin in the presence zinc suggests it plays an important role insulin's production B-cell for vast majority animal species. postulate that forms a containing hexamer soon after its synthesis this organization molecule is maintained through all subsequent processes supported by our observation converted readily into hexamer. In addition ions enhance proinsulin's solubility render insoluble. Zinc also appear to play microcrystalline character precipitated granule. There may be advantages condensing stored material way; will reduce contact with surrounding membrane where converting, possibly other enzymes, are thought located, tend exclude incompletely hexamers.
