摘要: The complexity of power systems has increased in recent years due to the operation existing transmission lines closer their limits, using flexible AC system devices (FACTS), and also penetration new types generators that have more intermittent characteristics lower inertial response, such as wind generators. This changing nature a considerable effect on its dynamic behaviours resulting swings, interactions between different less synchronized coupling. chapter presents some analyses this identify critical issues limit large-scale integration FACTS devices. In addition, addresses general concerns towards high compensations grid topologies. studies are conducted New England York model under both small large disturbances. From analyses, it can be concluded compensation reduce security limits certain operating conditions, modes related slip shaft stiffness they may generation.
