Computer-Aided Decision Support Systems for Endoscopy in the Gastrointestinal Tract: A Review

摘要: Today, medical endoscopy is a widely used procedure to inspect the inner cavities of human body. The advent endoscopic imaging techniques-allowing acquisition images or videos-created possibility for development whole new branch computer-aided decision support systems. Such systems aim at helping physicians identify possibly malignant abnormalities more accurately. At beginning this paper, we give brief introduction history endoscopy, followed by introducing main types endoscopes which emerged so far (flexible endoscope, wireless capsule and confocal laser endomicroscope). We then specifically targeted in gastrointestinal tract. Then present general facts figures concerning summarize work This summary discussion some common issues approaches reviewed suggestions possible ways resolve them.
