摘要: Pavement safety has been a principal concern of transportation agencies, while tire-pavement noise also gained increasing attentions in recent years. To suppress the impacts on road users, an innovative hybrid texture technique for concrete surface that resembles combination diamond grinding and longitudinal grooving, Next Generation Concrete Surface (NGCS), is developed quieter traveling improved safety. Since grooved may deteriorate over time, measurement groove dimensions becomes indispensable tool NGCS's long term performance evaluation. Traditional point laser based profiling system used to measure pavement transverse grooves. However this incapable evaluating grooves are NGCS. This paper proposes automated identification methodology NGCS using 1mm resolution 3D data collected from recently PaveVision3D Ultra System. A template matched algorithm proposed detect identify Subsequently, estimated established procedure. Comparing constructed with derived research, it demonstrated robust detecting estimating their dimensions. Further research anticipated investigate level time.
