摘要: This study presents a stepwise concept to assess the in situ microbial mineralization of petroleum hydrocarbons (PHC) aquifers. A new graphical method based on stable carbon isotope ratios (δ13C) was developed verify origin dissolved inorganic (DIC). The and were applied an aquifer Studen, Switzerland, which more than 34,000 liters heating oil accidentally released. Chemical analyses ground water revealed that this locally, anaerobic conditions prevailed, PHC linked consumption oxidants such as O2, NO2-, SO42- production reduced species Fe2+, Mn2+, HSS CH4. However, alkalinity DIC balances showed quantitative disagreement link between oxidant production, indicating chemical data alone may not be reliable assessment tool. δ13C have been used before for bioremediation assessment, but results reported negatively influenced by methanogenesis. Using display data, it possible identify anomalies found methanogenic monitoring wells. It could shown 88% produced contaminated originated from mineralization. Thus, appears useful tool hydrocarbon complex environment.
