摘要: In the present ultrastructural study in rat, it was determined whether GABA projections descending from ventromedial reticular formation of lower brain stem to motoneuronal cell groups lumbar spinal cord. For this purpose, anterograde transport WGA-HRP combined with postembedding immunogold technique for GABA, advantage that both markers could be visualized simultaneously a single terminal. 4 rats, injected part at levels between rostral inferior olive and caudal facial nucleus. Vibratome sections were cut cord, reacted WGA-HRP, processed electron microscopy. Ultrathin containing lateral treated following using polyclonal antibody directed against GABA. It found nearly 40% terminal profiles labeled reaction products also (double labeled). Most double-labeled terminals (81%) F-type (containing many flattened vesicles), 12% G-type granular 7% S-type spherical vesicles). The majority contacted proximal dendrites. is argued GABAergic projection produces general inhibitory effect on motoneurons, counteracting facilitation produced by serotonergic derived same area.(ABSTRACT TRUNCATED AT 250 WORDS)
