Microbial contamination and its control in fuels and fuel systems since 1980 – a review

摘要: Abstract Although the documentation of fuel biodeterioration dates back to late 19th century, general recognition value microbial contamination control evolved slowly until 1980s. Since early 1980s a number factors have converged stimulate greater interest in and system biodeterioration. This, turn, has stimulated applied research ecology biodeteriogenic processes control. This presentation reviews progress both these areas since 1980. The aforementioned that provided impetus for improved control, evolution our understanding nature will be discussed. Activities consensus organizations develop guidelines practices also reviewed.
