摘要: In this study, we investigated the synergistic effects of plant sterols (PS) and casein-derived tripeptides on arterial tone blood pressure in experimental hypertension. We hypothesized that PS could have positive, development hypertension endothelial dysfunction young spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHR). Six-week-old male SHR were divided into 3 groups to receive milk products containing PS, or with tripeptides, a control no active components for 8 weeks. Systolic (SBP) was measured weekly, vascular reactivity measurements isolated mesenteric arteries performed at end study. Biochemical several parameters by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay using plasma samples. Levels angiotensin-converting enzyme 1, cyclooxygenase-2, nitric oxide synthase, P-selectin messenger RNA expressions determined from aortic tissue real-time polymerase chain reaction. The study showed long-term treatment + attenuated (SBP, 187 ± 5 mm Hg vs 169 4 group; P < .01). Plant alone did not affect SBP significantly. Endothelial observed all SHR; however, resulted poorer endothelium-dependent oxide–mediated relaxation compared other groups. Aortic cyclooxygenase-2 significantly down-regulated when group. expression synthase lower than conclusion, has slight but significant antihypertensive effect. do provide any beneficial function rats; both mild anti-inflammatory effects.
