摘要: Computer-aided visualisation has played an essential role in helping students construct a better understanding of molecular interactions over the years. However, still need to translate 2D images on screen into 3D structures their minds, and they often find it challenging develop clear mental picture complex molecules. As alternative platform for visualisation, immersive virtual reality (VR) holds great promise addressing students’ difficulties. To examine educational possibilities limitations VR environments, we adopted design research approach. We developed series learning activities teach about enzyme its with substrates then conducted user study environment. Twenty-two first-year university chemistry participated study. Their sessions along pre- post-interviews were video-recorded later analysed understand how various features supported impeded conceptual ability visualise Future directions implications teaching are discussed.
