摘要: Picocyanobacteria (Pcy) single-cells and microcolonies are common in lakes throughout the world, abundant across a wide spectrum of trophic conditions. The single-celled Pcy populations tend to be predominant large, deep oligo-mesotrophic lakes, while find optimal conditions warmer, shallower more nutrient rich lakes. Microcolonies different size (from 5 50 cells) constitute gradient without net separation from types. Considering as transitional forms colonial morphotypes it is conceivable propose ecology where local communities not isolated but linked by dispersal multiple, potentially interactive, species. In this review abiotic forcing biotic regulation community structure dynamics examined offer an updated view ecology.
