摘要: Circadian rhythms have been shown both in the expression of period (per) gene ‘lateral neurons’ and cells outermost neuropil, or lamina, fly's optic lobe. Some lateral neurons also exhibit PDH peptide-like immunoreactivity, arborizing widely throughout Using confocal microscopy housefly, we analysed size spacing neurite varicosities, sites possible peptide release exhibiting circadian rhythmicity. During subjective day constant darkness, there were fewer, larger varicosities than during night. The endogenous rhythm was masked by light exposure that occurred under a day-night cycle continuous conditions. Our findings indicate neurites convey information out from pacemaker, where they could regulate described possibly via cyclical their peptide.
