摘要: We derive a simple analytical solution for the evolution of close binary with nuclear time-scale driven mass transfer from giant. This is based on well-known fact that luminosity and radius giant scale to good approximation as power laws Mc degenerate helium core. Comparison results numerical calculations by Webbink, Rappaport & Savonije show power-law be quite accurate. The presented does also allow (in parametrized form) non-conservative transfer. Furthermore, it shown near constancy mass-transfer rate over most phase seen in not generic feature this type but rather consequence particular choice parameters. demonstrates level largely set core at onset Finally, we model self-consistent discuss its applicability low-mass X-ray binaries.
