摘要: Disclosed is a detector for positron imaging unit, comprises hollow body with an inner cylindrical wall and outer spaced apart from the wall. The includes scintillating material, suitable to emit photons once hit by 511 keV Y-ray, one or more pairs of photo-detecting units (e.g. comprising PMTs SiPM) detecting emitted material; each unit pair being placed at opposite ends along radial direction. material has scintillation decay time τ lower than 10 ns, atomic number greater 10, high yield 8,000 photons/MeV, mixture xenon argon. An including method estimate differential dose radiation provided in subject cancer cells surrounding tissues course hadrotherapy also disclosed.
